Our History

Engleside Stables was built in 1999 by owners Karin & CJ Costich. The property originally has 2 barns with 20 stalls. Later in that year, Karin and CJ raised a barn with 18 stalls and an indoor arena. 

Since construction in 1999,  Engleside Stables has been providing the Penfield area with Equine boarding, Training, and Sales. Engleside provides training for all hunter, jumpers, eventers and dressage riders. 

Engleside Stables is a private boarding facility that does not provide outside lessons or training. 


Engleside has 30 stalls available for horse boarding. Our facilities includes 3 Large barns (2 for stabling, and one for storage), 1 indoor riding arena (75'x 195'), an outdoor riding arena (225' x 275'), a derby field, 15 acres of pasture space, Individual turnouts, wash rack, Matted stalls, heated tack rooms and bathrooms.

We provide full care boarding for each and every client. Our Full Care Board includes Pasture turn out from dawn to dusk, Groomed arenas, Hay and grain provided twice daily inside and out, stalls cleaned daily, water inside as well as outside, use of the entire facilities including 11 wooded acres of trails. Engleside is located right next to power lines which allows access to miles of Equine friendly trails.

Training & Lessons

Engleside Stables is mainly a Hunter/ Jumper riding facilities; additionally we do provide dressage training as well as lessons.

Engleside currently has two trainers that teach and train on our property. Megan Boss, Dressage Trainer, has been training at engleside for the past 7 years. Megan is certified to train up to second level dressage.

Mark Frohm, Hunter/Jumper Trainer, has been training at Engleside for 10+ years. Mark and his riders have shown successfully in the local PHA circuit as well as nationally. Mark has achieved multiple Zone and National Championships. For more information on both Trainers, click on the links below.

We now are offering training board.  Our Training board allows for young horses to get started in a hunter/  jumper program.  Horses are introduced slowly to grid work, courses and obstacles inside and outside of the arena. Horses are worked on their ground manners and social skills.  Our program is centered around Horse & Owner's goals and abilities.

Unfortunately, we do not have a lesson program.
